“When a family has a limited income, it’s meat and fresh produce that gets dropped from their grocery list,” said Melissa Stimple, Executive Director of the
Waukee Area Christian Services (WACS). “Because of this, meat is the highest-needed item at a food pantry.

WACS is a non-profit outreach ministry supported by Waukee area churches. They help all of Waukee and Dallas County with supplemental food, basic health care and assistance with housing and school essentials.

“We’re so thankful for the donation, this means we can get something very special to our families this Christmas season,” said Melissa.

Last month the WACS served 260 households, or 900 individuals throughout Dallas County.
