One of our final stops on our journey to restock the freezers of over 80 rural Iowa food pantries was a visit to Marcella Johnson in Eagle Grove to deliver 108 pork loins to the Wright County Food Pantry. Another county, another freezer filled!
Currently, 12 percent of individuals in Wright County are living in poverty. Luckily, people like Marcella go above and beyond each day to ensure families who are struggling to make ends meet and feed their families are provided with wholesome nutritious food. With the pantry newly stocked with 25 cases of fresh pork loins, we hope we are able to further Marcella’s efforts to feed her community. A big thank you to Marcella for all she does.
