SelectCare Environmental Award
The SelectCare Environmental Award is presented to a farmer that receives manure from Iowa Select Farms and utilizes conservational practices on their farm. This award shows gratitude to farmers who are displaying continuous improvement in their farming practices and are encouraging others to implement these efforts as well.
The recipient and their family will be honored at the June Nutrient Management Meeting in West Des Moines and will receive a customized award plaque, a farm entrance sign made to order and an Iowa State Fair VIP family pack. 
Requirements of this award recipient are that they receive manure from an Iowa Select Farms barn and implement conservational practices on their farm—including, but not limited to:
- Cover crops
- No-till
- Reduced tillage
- Buffer strips
- Strip tillage
- Bioreactors
- Wetlands
- Waterways
Employees of Iowa Select Farms, particularly those on the Nutrient Management team, are encouraged to nominate a farmer that comes to mind and qualifies. To nominate a farmer, please fill out the form at the bottom of this web page.
